Many of you might not remember I've been selling giant display pumpkins with my pumpkin hobby. Just wanted to pass on that my retirement account is over $70,000. this year and I'm now 18 yrs old and have been selling since 2012. So get your kids and the whole family involved. A big shout out to Chris Delany who told my Mom at the Sunderland fair in 2012 that you could put a kid through college with pumpkins!!! P.S I always support the pumpkin auctions. I have a horse paddock that I have turn over twice and it still comes up with clover, I am not going to use roundup. Should I till up a section and plant a watermelon as with the other paddock I have had no luck with watermelon, any ideas??? Simon Southwell

Hi Growers, I'm asking if anybody would be interested in selling a giant pumpkin to the (Your Independent Grocers) in Sudbury? The new owner previously was the manager of the Barrie store and wants to buy a pumpkin for his store (Your Independent Grocers) in Sudbury. Hi Growers, My Mom and I want to go on a trip east in the spring, but I normally start my plants on Earth Day around April 23rd. Last year was late and this year it was mid June almost. So my question is do you think they were flukes or is this a new trend for Ontario? The few plants I have that decided to live after this spring of cold and rain. Then survived the drought of almost 3 months look like they should at the end of June mid July. Would they be okay if I started the plants in mid May and then in the garden third week? My Mom refuses to get heater cables or pay for the hydro. Simon Southwell
