Good luck to all growers bringing something to a Weigh Off. This year has been very challenging to all growers. Just showing up is a feat. Enjoy and have fun and I'm sure there will be no shortage of chatter among all. Kirk - President

Weigh off coordinators & Growers it's time to weigh those monsters! Please read all the GPC roles and regulations for the weigh off especially the ones pertaining to what qualifies a fruit and what a growing team actually is. What constitutes a squash and so forth. Judges are only following the rules and are volunteers and most likely growers. Have fun and Enjoy!

The Executive is working on a line of questions for it's members to be taken very seriously. The future of the club will be helped by these answers. We currently have 200 members not including Hall of Fame members who are not required to pay dues. The club spends approx. 65% of its budget on the seminar (hall rental, greeting snacks and meal), awards, prizes, master grower coats (3 this year), payout of contests and plaques. Other club costs are Seed sorting, postage, Auction, newsletter and printing. Please fill out the survey when posted and add any comments you might have positive/negative. Thanks Your Executive

Another great seminar is in the books! Thanks to John Matesa for booking the Hall and Caterer and all the local leg work that goes with this job. Paul Detwiller for bringing all of his product and donating to the prize table. John and Rob Butler for running the entry table, Chris Lyons for organizing and running the seed auction which raised $480. Well done! All others that donated to the prize table and ZGreen Gro for providing all the great samples for the growers. Christine for her great presentation. The Hall Of Fame inductees Elaine and Bob MacKenzie and John Vincent, all are very well deserved. Dave McCallum for taking care of the seaweed, Gerry and Norm for bringing many of the supplies to the Seminar and Denim for picking up and delivering the Biochar. I would personally like to thank the Chenier team of Jen and Jacob who got me to the Seminar and helped in many different ways. Almost forgot our Growers of the Year. John Butler and Art Johnston - Congrats! Your President, Kirk C.
