Thank you John, an easy to grow plant with no PM and no vine burying I'm liking it
I grew my first one last summer in a 10 x15 plot. I started the seeds early May and put in the ground in late May. It did not grow much until the heat came. I pollinated July 20th on a side vine within 6 ft of the stump. I tried to keep just the main and side vines and prune off all other vines and fruit. I did not bury any vines. I watered and fertilized the same as the pumpkins and squash. It was grown in the worst spot lowest sunlight hrs in my garden. I really was not expecting much from the plant but ended up with 156 lbs. It was a worry free easy plant to grow much like a field pumpkin without the powdery mildew. I will try another one next year.
