I got the last half of this patch plowed this morning the other half has winter wheat and that’s where I’ll be growing next year 2,500sq ft no pumpkins I’m going to try squash again and give them the best spots
Got it thanks Zeke..we got a frost last nite it got down to 2 degrees had to scrape windshield of truck looks like all plants I covered are good pepper plants got it though
Got home in time to cover plant tonite from frost it’s going down to 4 degrees tonite and that means frost in the valley I’m in this is the only plant and fruit I have it probly won’t be a PB but you never know I have the last 2 tomatoes covered well also I hope nobody gets frost this early but it is what it is..I’m not sure why all my pics are side ways but if someone could tell me much appreciated
1lb 12.3 ozs ...1.76lbs ? For team #3 grown from 5.75 Hunt .. a thunderstorm 2 weeks ago broke both branches off the plant and it had no leaves left except a small sucker growing below the tomato it hadn’t grown much since
This is my only Mangel Wurzel I have the other two I started in 30 gallon plastic barrels but that experiment didn’t turn out ..I don’t have a clue about growing these but they multiply because this is grown from just one seed.. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to cull to just one beet but this is 4 growing together anyway if someone that knows their stuff on these comment that would be great
Beets are either monogerm or multigerm. The ones you have are multigerm which means that 1-5 plants come from one seed. You always have to cull all but one. Too late now as culling the smallest three will disturb the roots of the fourth and cause it to stop growing.
This is the 1959 hunt at 14 ft 4 days i pollinated another this morning at 16 ft both were selfed I work 11 hours a day so this pic was taking in the dark this plant has had some stress issues but I think we have overcome them I like the long stem on this one
The 1750 Jutras is throwing females every foot these opened this morning at 9 and 10 ft there isn’t one at 11 but there is at 12 and 13 but no males open yet very strange year here I got 3 of my competition tomatoes in last week and the other 4 Monday go team 3 !
This is the 1959 Hunt it is the back up plant as the first one I started early had too much stress and this one out grew it, it’s about seven feet and showing great root growth, I grew this seed last year and it was a back up as well hopefully this one will do better it is in a patch I rested last year
This is the 1750 Jutras at 8 feet I had to extend the hoop house by 2 ft going to be cold the next couple of nites don’t want to take a chance on frost
Came home to a sunburned leaf tonite on a vine I was going to remove hoop house on this one but they are calling for a chance maybe of frost Sunday nite strange weather and strange times
Has anyone seen 4 leaves out of the seed before? I am new to the growing giant tomatoes but I haven’t ever seen this in my garden tomatoes is this good or bad? It’s the 6.22-15 Bryson plant
The one on the left has a little yellowing the one on the rite has nice colour for the cool weather we have had I watered tonite and added a little more pro mix

I always open the pic first, then click edit and rotate it. This will also make the file smaller so it's easier to post.
